From disjointed ineffective decision-making to integrally effective decision-making: with the IBP Roadmap

To stay relevant and make an impact in your organization as a finance professional, it is essential to be able to rely on CFO Technology that is constantly evolving. But how do you ensure that your CFO Technology is deployed in the most effective way? The Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Roadmap is the roadmap to implement CFO Technology in a smart and integrated way within your organization. In this webinar, Stephan de Wit explains!

Why an Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Roadmap?

These are dynamic times for organizations. Business models need to be flexible to respond to changing customer preferences. At the same time, external factors bring uncertainties, such as: supply chain disruptions, environmental and climate issues, energy complexity, geopolitical conflicts and scarce resources, resulting in increasing costs.

To remain successful in this dynamic landscape, an organization must look beyond, plan intelligently and intensify coordination by managing data more effectively. Instead of reacting reactively per business unit, an organization must start (managing) proactively from an integral approach. Business and finance must sit around the same table and deliver from the same ambitions and goals; Integrated Business Planning. The focus here is on outperforming the competition rather than merely meeting budgetary targets. To become a successful IBP-driven organization, you need to go through 8 steps, outlined in the IBP Roadmap. What does that look like?

What route does the IBP Roadmap take?

For an organization to effectively implement IBP in its business operations, the IBP Roadmap must be gone through. This "roadmap" serves as a manual for the transformation process from ineffective fragmented decision-making to goal-oriented integrated decision-making. The Roadmap consists of eight steps:

  1. Assessment and establishment of baseline
  2. Defining vision and objectives
  3. Stakeholder engagement and Change management
  4. Process design and integration
  5. Implementation of technology and tools
  6. Pilot and refinement
  7. Full implementation
  8. Conservation and evolution
